The My Safety Buddy app can be installed on:
  • Android smartphones (for most Android phones minimum is 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and current maximum is 7.0 Nougat)
  • Apple smartphones (iOS 8.0 or later) the My Safety Buddy app is available on both Android and Apple.
The My Safety Buddy app is designed to run on Android and Apple smartphones. It also runs on Apple iPads.
You can access the My Safety Buddy Web Portal from any device (desktop, laptop, tablet or phone) that has an internet browser.
Although the My Safety Buddy app can use local Wi-Fi networks, smartphones with the My Safety Buddy app installed will need to have mobile data in order to use the app when moving around the community.
The My Safety Buddy web portal can be accessed from any internet browser. Click on the Login button at the top of this page to access the web portal.
When an emergency alarm is activated and subsequently cancelled, My Safety Buddy will send alert notifications to the user’s emergency contact(s) by SMS* and email.
SMS and email are NOT sent when the user completes check ins without triggering an alarm. As such My Safety Buddy SMS Credits are NOT used when the user routinely completes check ins without triggering an alarm.
My Safety Buddy SMS Credits are included in the Basic, Plus and Premium plans.
For the Super Lite and Lite plans, My Safety Buddy SMS Credits are $0.10 each on.
For example:
The user activates an emergency alarm.

Between one and two My Safety Buddy SMS Credits per Emergency Contact will be used to notify the Emergency Contact(s) of the emergency alarm activation, and one My Safety Buddy SMS Credit per Emergency Contact will be used later to notify the Emergency Contact(s) that the emergency alarm has been cancelled.
If a user has two Emergency Contacts, typically 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 6 My Safety Buddy SMS Credits will be used per emergency alarm activation.

* Emergency notifications are only sent by SMS if the My Safety Buddy user or their My Safety Buddy Network Owner has My Safety Buddy SMS Credits available.

Each user may have as many emergency contacts as they like.
Generally it is best to have a few emergency contacts for each user to ensure at least one emergency contact is always available to respond.
For example, you may choose to have a team leader plus a couple of other people to be the emergency contacts for all staff in their team.
We guide you through the best way to set up your MSB Network to meet your organisation’s needs.
Bulk User Setup is our process to automate the creation of all your administrators, your users and their MSB settings. We provide you with a user-friendly spreadsheet and guide you how to collect your users information. Once complete we set up your users automatically in MSB.
The Administrator Workshop is for your Delegates – those who will monitor your users from the MSB Web Portal.
The User Workshop is designed for your staff who will use My Safety Buddy on their device.
User training is usually through a series of online eLearn videos, but we provide the option of User Workshops for those who prefer a face-to-face training experience.
The My Safety Buddy Learning Centre provides a series of short eLearn modules specific to users (Network Members) and to administrators (Network Owner and Delegates) explaining all the features of My Safety Buddy.
Hosted on the Holland Thomas Learning Management System, learners sign in using their My Safety Buddy credentials to access the content relevant to them.
Organisations can determine which modules are to be mandatory and which are to be optional. Completion tracking will assist with compliance requirements for your organisation.
This is optional and each user can configure their options differently. A user’s location can be extremely important in the case of an emergency and assists emergency contacts in responding to an alarm, so we generally recommend that you use this feature.
Each user will be billed monthly at the rate of the pricing plan you have selected.
Your monthly credit card charge or invoice will be adjusted down accordingly.
There are no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees. You can choose to cancel without charge at any time.
